About me, Kathryn Charlton MSTAT
I first came to the Alexander Technique in the 1990’s, having suffered chronic back pain for many years. After unsuccessfully trying many forms of treatment, the Technique was a revelation to me.
I discovered that it was my movement habits and harmful patterns of tension that were causing my back problems. I learned how to look after myself through Alexander lessons.
I was so impressed with the Technique that I left my career in Education and moved home from Nottingham to Sheffield to undertake the training course.
I am a member of the Society of Teachers of the Alexander Technique (STAT).
All teaching members (MSTAT) have successfully completed a 3-year, full-time training course approved by the Society and have agreed to adhere to the Society’s published Code of Professional Conduct. We also hold professional indemnity insurance.
Visit the www.stat.org.uk for further information on the Alexander Technique and a full list of accredited teachers.

In line with membership of my professional association (STAT) I hold an Enhanced Disclosure Criminal Record Check Certificate.
